peterborough presents are seeking an artist, organisation, or creative practitioner to deliver a magical new project in millfield, peterborough.

We are looking for a an artist/arts organisation to deliver a community engagement project to involve new audiences in Millfield Arts Festival 2018.

The brief

Proposals will be initially assessed by the Peterborough Presents Programme Director with consortium representatives from Metal, Voluntary Arts and Eastern Angles. A maximum of ten proposals will be put to the Millfield Festival panel and they undertake the final shortlisting and interviews. Proposals will be assessed using the following criteria:

1.       The quality, originality and ambition of the creative idea at the heart of the proposal and its relevance to the commissioning context

2.       The capacity and the approach to deliver the project on time and within budget

3.       Previous track record and/or potential

4.       Ability to engage with our Community Commissioning Panel who will support the development and promotion of the programme

The project has a budget of £5,000. This is inclusive of project outputs, materials, fees and VAT. Travel expenses are separate.

The application process

Our community-led commissioning model means that the creative control and decision-making is handed over to the community. The brief has been designed by our panel members, and all applicants invited to interview will be interviewed by panelists.

When applying please remember that your application will be assessed by our community panel. They are a very bright and enthusiastic group but they have busy lives so clear and concise applications are appreciated; supporting images are encouraged.

The proposal should include:

·         Your proposed programme of activity

·         A timeframe and breakdown of how the fee will be allocated including your own fee.

·         CV

·         Names and contact details of two referees

·         Contact details

If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to come and meet our commissioning panel. This will be confirmed within two weeks of the closing date. Reasonable travel expenses will be paid and agreed in advance.
