About the Role

Peterborough Presents aims to bring great art to Peterborough. We work directly with local communities to commission cultural activities that are appealing, fun and relevant.  We use a community led commissioning process in which local residents are the decision makers. This process is supported by a programme of training and development that aims to enable local people to become creative producers for their communities.

We are now looking for a Project Assistant to support the delivery of our Millfield Link project. The Link Road mural is a much loved but dilapidated local landmark. Painted in 1982 it is street scene featured people living in the area at the time. The Millfield Link will see us restore the mural; work with local residents to collect the community heritage of the past forty years and create a community led exhibition that shares and celebrates the experiences of people who live and have lived in the area.

The project will be led by the existing Peterborough Presents team with the Project Assistant providing additional support. The role is approx. 1- 2 days a week but this will vary depending on the demands of the project. It is a fixed term role until April 2020.
