It all started when…
We first launched The Selfie Project back in 2015 as part of Peterborough Arts Festival's Enchanted City. 200 people submitted their selfies to be re-imagined as bright and brilliant portraits by artist Luke Payn. The Warhol inspired pop art pics were projected onto a shop window along Bridge Street.
Fast forward to 2018; we just finished 'Put Yourself in the Picture' by Young Producer Hanna Hughes, and we noticed how popular and exciting both projects have been because they put you right at the centre of the art work.
As a team we've decided to relaunch the Selfie Project, inviting you to submit your selfies to be transformed into art. Each month we will commission a professional artist to take your selfies and transform them into original works of digital art to be exhibited online. We'll create a new snapchat filter each month too inspired by the artist's work.
Sounds easy and fun, right? To submit your selfie for selection, email it to email@example.com . The closing date for each month is the 28th. Each month we will announce the artist ahead of time, any selfies submitted after the closing date will be automatically entered into next month's selfie selection.
